10 Days. 4 Homes. 1 Mission: Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County Launches Blitz Build June 16–25

‍ ‍

Cheyenne, WY - Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County is inviting volunteers, businesses, and community members to take part in its upcoming Blitz Build at Pronghorn Crossing, a collaborative effort with Blitz Home Builders, a team of skilled, retired volunteers who travel the country to help Habitat affiliates complete major build efforts. Together, we will raise 4 homes from the ground up in just 10 days.

‍During the Blitz Build, volunteers from across the country and community will work side-by-side, demonstrating the power of teamwork and the impact of affordable homeownership. The build will bring together dozens of volunteers, local businesses, and community partners who will help move the home from foundation to major construction milestones in just days.

Daffney Sandoval, Development Director for Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County had this to say about the upcoming event. "Participating in a Blitz Build is such an awesome experience.  You work alongside friends, family, and other community members that have a passion for helping.  Seeing the walls of a home go up in just a few days is so exciting, and you are part of it!  Last year I got to travel with coworkers, volunteers, and my dad to Flagstaff to build homes there.  My dad had such a good time that he has his two brothers coming from Virginia and a nephew traveling from Arizona for our blitz.  I can't wait to see our community come together for such an exciting opportunity."

‍No construction experience is required to participate. Habitat staff provide training, tools, and supervision for volunteers throughout the build.

‍Community members, businesses, faith groups, and civic organizations are encouraged to get involved by volunteering for a build day, sponsoring the project, or helping spread the word. Volunteer shifts will be available throughout the build week.

‍Through projects like Blitz Build, Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County brings people together to build homes, community, and hope.
