Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County Receives $94,000 Lowe’s Hometowns Grant
We’re thrilled to share that Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County has been awarded a $94,000 grant through Lowe’s Hometowns, the company’s signature community impact program. Habitat is one of only 100 nonprofits nationwide selected to receive funding as part of Lowe’s five-year, $100 million commitment to improve and revitalize community spaces.
This generous grant will support much-needed renovations to our Habitat ReStore in Cheyenne, helping us weatherize the aging building and make important energy-efficient upgrades. With the help of dedicated volunteers and Lowe’s Red Vest associates, these improvements will enhance the sustainability of our facility and expand our capacity to support affordable housing in Laramie County.
The Habitat ReStore plays a vital role in our mission by generating funds for our homebuilding program and offering affordable materials to the community—diverting hundreds of thousands of pounds from the landfill each year. Every purchase at the ReStore helps us create more housing opportunities here in Cheyenne.
We are incredibly grateful to Lowe’s for their support and investment in our community. This project will not only strengthen the Restore itself but also further our ability to provide safe, affordable homes for local families.
