Ways to Volunteer

Construction:

Construction experience helpful, but not required. Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes. Safety equipment will be provided.  Because of OSHA safety regulations, must be 16 and older. Volunteer opportunities are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.  If you are a business sponsor, please reach out to Ashlie Vassar to be recognized appropriately.

ReStore:

Volunteering at the ReStore is a great option for retirees that love to tinker and repair things or for students who'd like to get a little job experience for their resumes and college applications.”

Jobs available: Donation Bay, Floor Crew, Cleaning Crew, Repair Volunteer, Wire Stripper Volunteer, Stocking Crew. Shifts are Tuesday-Saturday between 9am-4pm.

Community Service:

If you need to complete court-ordered community service hours, you must complete the Community Service Application. Please note that we do not allow you to volunteer at Habitat if you have previous theft, felony violent offense, adult crimes involving minors, and/or are a registered sex offender.

All community service volunteers work in the ReStore to get court ordered hours.

Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County reserves the right to terminate any Community Service Policy agreement if the participant is in any way unproductive, disruptive, negatively impactful on the accomplishments of Habitat’s daily goals, or otherwise violates the Habitat Code of Conduct. All volunteers must be 18 years old for this program.

Committees:

Habitat has several volunteers behind the scenes making things run smoothly.  Popular committees include events, family selection, hospitality (we’ve got to feed these groups), and board members.  If you have a special skill that you’d like to share, please reach out!

Volunteers are the heart of Habitat
