ReStore Expansion

FIVE YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN

Vision: By 2025 the ReStore will generate sufficient revenue to cover the entire salary and overhead expenses of the ReStore, Affiliate and Construction staff.

Current position:  The Habitat for Humanity ReStore has existed in its current building, located at 1721 Ames Ave in Cheyenne, since 2012.  Prior to that, it operated from a smaller building located across the street. The ReStore sells donated construction and home improvement materials to the public.   By selling Recycled materials, the ReStore diverts thousands of tons of waste entering local landfills. The ReStore provides job and volunteer opportunities for individuals of many backgrounds and abilities.

ReStore revenue supports Habitat's mission by covering the overhead and payroll expenses of the affiliate.  Steady growth over the years has enabled the ReStore to cover larger portions of payroll for the affiliate staff who work on the program side of the operation. This is advantageous because donations are able to be fully allocated to program activities.

The ReStore operation has reached its maximum growth potential in the current location.  Donations exceed available space and frequently have to be turned away.
