while the nourishment of the soul is feeding others."
-Ali ibn Abi Talib
Providing lunches at the build site is a great way to support Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County's efforts. Our volunteers, staff, and partner families work up quite an appetite through their hard work building strength, stability, and self-reliance. A hearty meal and some good company at the end of their shift replenishes energy and makes them feel appreciated.
Our 2020 build season runs from May 15 through September 16. This year we'll have two construction sites (1305 Sonata Lane & 603 East 7th Street) - so we're going to have a lot of hungry volunteers to feed.
Cooking for volunteers provides a nice alternative to building for church or civic groups with members who may not feel comfortable on the construction site.
Providing lunches is a great way for a business to support Habitat, and we'll be sure to promote your generosity across our social media platforms.
Lunches are also a great way for families to support Habitat. While children can't help on our active construction sites, they are welcomed to help set up, serve, and clean up the lunches for volunteers.
This year's build season has 72 opportunities to nourish volunteers. If you'd like to sign up, or get more information, contact Pat McIlwain today! pat@cheyennehfh.org 307-637-8067
