At Habitat for Humanity, we love Dads. They build the foundation for our lives. They are our caregivers, our providers, and our biggest supporters through our ups and downs.
Affordable housing is a key component to Dads filling these roles for their children. When parents can provide safe, affordable housing for their families, they get to be more present for their kids and focus on the things that matter most in life.
This year, we have two incredible dads, Jose Duran and Ulises Favel, working alongside volunteers to build homes for their children and hope for their future. These Dad's are putting in 400 hours of "sweat equity" towards their homes and we applaud their commitment to the work and to their families. We look forward to seeing what they do with the strength, stability, and self-reliance that comes along with being a Habitat Homeowner.
We want to celebrate Dads with you, and hope you'll join us for our annual Habiat ReStore Father's Day Cookout, Saturday June 15. ReStore Manager (and father of 5!) Brett, will be cooking up lunch for all the Dads (and everyone else!).
