40 Days Putting God's Love into Action

Habitat and Thrivent are partnering together on a Faith Build Venture Project this fall.

People of faith are invited to join Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County for its Faith Build Venture Project for 40 days of putting God's Love into action. The Faith Build Venture kicks off on September 17 and concludes on October 27. Sponsored by Habitat's largest corporate sponsor, Thirvent, the goal of the program is to strengthen the relationship Habitat affiliates enjoy with local churches and people of faith.

During the Faith, Build Venture period Habitat will host a number of events and volunteer opportunities for the community. This year's build project is a Veterans Build. Construction is currently underway on a new home that Navy Veteran Thomas Redding will soon call home. Despite qualifying for a VA-backed mortgage, finding a property in his price range that met the program's qualifications was impossible. Now, through Habitat's Veterans Build program, the community honors Thomas' service to our nation by building his future home alongside him!

There are lots of ways to get involved- sign up for one of our Venture Build Days, sponsor a lunch for volunteers, or attend our Interfaith Prayer Service- where we'll hear from those who serve veterans in need and pray for their work. There will also be donation drives, cookouts, and other events during the forty-day period of the Faith Build Venture.

See the full list of events for more details, and contact Dan Dorsch at dan@cheyennehfh.org to learn more.
