THE RESTORE MAKES HOME IMPROVEMENT ACCESSIBLE TO ALL

The ReStore is a home improvement retail operation that sells donated materials, furniture, appliances, and other items to the public at deep discounts.

Revenue from ReStore sales support the mission of our affiliate by paying for the overhead and administrative expenses, so that contributions from financial donors can be be fully allocated to programs.

The ReStore has become the community's first stop for home improvement, DIY projects, and unique finds.

Strategic Focus Area:

RESTORE EXPANSION

RESTORE HISTORY

"You never know what you'll find at the ReStore, there's always something interesting!" - Mary, ReStore customer

The ReStore opened its doors to the Cheyenne community in 2009.  With the mission of diverting materials from local landfills (we estimate that 2500 tons have been diverted to date) and making the cost of home repair and improvement more affordable.

Initially staffed by AmeriCorp volunteers, the ReStore grew rapidly, adding staff and services along the way.

In 2012, the ReStore had outgrown its space and a new building was constructed across the street.  Both buildings housed merchandise until 2017 when an upstairs sales floor was added to the larger building.

By 2018, with sales continuing to grow at a rapid pace, the need for a larger building became apparent and organizational leadership began planning for the future.
