What is the Habitat ReStore?
The Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County ReStore is one of only 4 ReStores in Wyoming and the only one in southeast Wyoming. The ReStore is a home improvement thrift store. Items donated to the ReStore, by individuals, retailers, businesses and contractors, are sold to the general public at a fraction of retail prices. All proceeds from the ReStore go to build Habitat homes for families in need around Cheyenne.
Is the ReStore Open to the Public?
YES! Anyone can shop or donate to the ReStore.
How often does the ReStore get new material?
Daily, so stop by often to see what new home improvement treasures are available.
How do you price items at the ReStore?
Brand new items are generally priced at 50% off retail, depending on their condition. Other items, depending on condition are priced at 60%-80% off.
Can I negotiate prices at the ReStore?
Sorry, prices at the ReStore are already signifigantly reduced. Prices are not negotiable.
How do I donate to the Restore?
Give us a call: (307)637-8067. We schedule FREE donation pick-ups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can drop off your donation anytime we are open (Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm). Please review our Acceptance Policy before making a donation.
Can you pick up an item I want to donate?
Yes. We offer a FREE donation pick up service Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Call (307) 637-8067 to schedule a pick-up.
How do I get a tax-deduction on my donation?
After we have received your donation we will give you a donation receipt with our Tax-ID #. Use this form in your tax returns. Unfortunately Habitat is unable to assign a value to your donation.
Can I return an item?
No. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore has a no return policy.
Can I volunteer at the ReStore?
Yes. Habitat is an organization fueled by volunteers just like you. If you are interested in volunteering at the ReStore, click here.
What does the ReStore sell?
The ReStore sells all manner of home improvement goods. Appliances, furniture, doors, tools, paint, countertops, electrical, plumbing, hardware and cabinets are just a few of the items the ReStore sells. Stop by often, as stock changes daily.
What types of donations does the ReStore take?
Check our Acceptance Policy for items we do and do not take. The Acceptance Policy will also give you a good idea of items the ReStore may be have.
The ReStore is commited to recycling and preventing waste. Consider donating items that the ReStore cannot accept such as clothing, household items, electronics, and home decor items to another local thrift store.
